Thursday, 12 May. The fishing reports all said "blown out." Our guide Tony knew that meant heading up to the Mo'. It is not the best time to come out to Montana for some fishing I found out, but circumstances (finishing up a Marine Corps activation and in-between jobs) dictated this would be the only time. When my first fish was a 20" rainbow that I had to fight, I knew this was going to be a great day. It was my third with a Grizzly Hackle guide and by far the best! Thanks Tony for a special day (and Dad for setting it up).

I've been fishing with the Grizzly Hackle for about ten years now. I just keep coming back because it's always a great experience. This fish is just one of many that I have caught while fishing with Drew, and I'm sure there will be many more to come.

I have been fishing for close to 20 years, and I have fished with a lot of fly fishing guides. The guys at the Grizzly Hackle do an exceptional job. They make sure you have a great day by putting you on a lot of fish, and they also do a great job of teaching the art of fly fishing. They WILL make you a better angler.

I knew the Grizzly Hackle guys were great, but little did I know they would show me some of the best days on the river that I have ever experienced. The river was truly remarkable and every aspect of my trip to Missoula was an authentic Montana experience. I want to thank Dan and crew for getting me out to the right places and showing me what Montana fly fishing is all about. You guys are real pros and friends for life.

Aloha from Hawai`i and I wish I could join you for the breakfast and celebration. I haven't missed an episode of Wild on the Fly and you all should be extremely proud of the production. The format, narrative, photography, and the equipment summary puts this program in a class by itself. My only complaint is that once a week is not enough. My fishing partner and I were fortunate to have spent two days fishing with Drew back in Sept 2009 and we still cherish the memories. Like 'Wild on the Fly', Drew is in a class by himself. On my wall (in my man cave) I have a picture of a handsome Rainbow that was coaxed from a particularly difficult lie. Drew coached me patiently through what must have been 20 + casts to get the drift just right for the take. He surely must have known that the reward would be worth losing the use of my right arm...and he was right! Once again, congrats to the Grizzly Hackle and Drew for the success now and in the future of Wild on the Fly!
