Daily River Report

It's cold. But if you must scratch the itch, wait untill the warmest part of the day and go dredge some nymphs until things get numb. With any sort of warm-up, expect good sub-surface fishing, with a tandem nymph rig probably being your best option. San Juans, little lighting bugs and copper johns off the back of a small or medium rubber-legs should keep things interesting. Picking a day when it's comfortable enough outside to fish with some patience is more important than fly choice right now. The same nymphs will work, but will your fingers?

Look for us this week on the Outdoor Channel as we go Wild on the Fly! Thur. @ 7:00 am, Fri. @ 4:00 pm and Sat @ 11:30 pm (MT).
