Daily River Report

October 22, 2014

It's fall up here and the colors are amazing both on the trees and on the fish!  Mahoganies and BWO's are the hatches of the fall and afternoon is the time to hit them just right.  Sz 18 on the BWOs and 14-16 on the Mahoganies.  Our go to patterns have been CDC Duns and Extended bodies.  Seaching with a P-Haze or an Ant pattern is another great option.  Streamer fishing is getting better each day, although up here it hasn't turned on quite yet.  Look for those cloudy, cruddy days and you'll have better luck with the streamer game.  Nymphing PT's, Princes, Rubberlegs, Red Copper Johns, Eggs and San Jauns will get it done when they aren't eating top water.

It's fishing season!  We are fully stocked in the shop for all your fishing needs!
