Blackfoot River at Bonner

Daily River Report

July 21, 2014

Dry fly fishing is going strong, although the fish are starting to become hesitant due to pressure up here.  Don't be afraid to use something a little different that the fish haven't seen.  A few of the big bugs are still up high in the Canyon, but not for long.  Goldenstones are still fishing.  Use a Golden Chubby or a Rogue Golden and drop an Iron Sallie or Tungsten Sallie off the back.  Attractors and small hoppers are starting to fish as well.  A Royal Wulff, Stimi, Turk's or Humpy are catching fish.  Evening and mornings have been fishing best, but with clouds fishing can be good for most of the day.
