Clark Fork River at Turah Bridge

Daily River Report

July 21, 2014

Fishing up here as been good!  Nocturnal Stones are out...  Yes, those stones that hatch at night, but you never see them in the day.  There husks are all over the rocks, but no bugs flying.  The fish no they are out and are ready and willing to eat them.  A Luna Negra, Black Magic, Black Chubby or Bugmeister with a stonefly dropper has been a killer combo.  PMD Spinners in the late morning and Caddis in the late evening will round out your day of dry fly bliss.  Small Hoppers and Attractors are all starting to work as well.  It looks like this year might be an epic hopper year.  We are keeping our fingers crossed as the outlook is good!

Clinton to Turah has a lot of log jams and sweepers.  Make sure you stay attentive and be CAREFUL!

The shop is stocked with all the flies you'll need for the Upper Clark!  Come by the shop and see us...
