Clark Fork River at Turah Bridge

Daily River Report

August 31, 2015

Its pretty skinny up there and getting green. The upper clark is maybe not the best choice these days. There is still some fishing to be had just though. It might be a go big or go home strecth.  Your typical Golden/Tan Chubby with a dropper like any dark Mayfly nymph or Tungsten Yellow Sally is a good way to start out the day.  Hopper fishing should be great "in spots" find those drop offs, pools, also anywhere springs dump in could be great holding water for hungry trout.
Fish hoppers, ants and beetles!
Hoot-Owl Restrictions have been lifted! However the upper clark from the mouth of Rock Creek is still restricted. Check the FWP website for details.

Clinton to Turah has a lot of log jams and sweepers.  Make sure you stay attentive and be CAREFUL!

The shop is stocked with all the flies you'll need for the Upper Clark!  Come by the shop and see us...
